111 North Cocoran Street
Durham, NC 27701
All major programming (workshops, panels, CLEs, plenaries), the keynote address, and the awards dinner will all take place on-site here.
We have negotiated a discounted rate of $189/night (single or double rooms) for #Law4thePeople attendees. Rooms are limited, so book ASAP!
- Book your room at the 21c here! (NOTE: The default setting for this page is for the entire duration of the convention, from Oct 16-20. This can easily be changed in the white box on the right hand side of the page, by clicking the "EDIT" button.
NOTE: There are no unionized hotels in North Carolina (a so-called "right to work" state). The National Office, NLG North Carolina Chapter Convention Planning Committee, and National Executive Committee are working together to ensure that the attack on unions, especially in the South, is highlighted at the convention. In line with our commitment to supporting unions, the Guild will take this challenge as opportunity for on-the-ground organizing with local labor groups such as UNITE HERE Local 23.
Option 2: DURHAM MARRIOTT CITY CENTER
Since rooms at the 21c Museum Hotel are limited, we also have negotiated a group rate one block away at the Durham Marriott City Center, also for $189/night.
Option 3: ALTERNATIVE HOUSING
Since staying at a hotel is cost-prohibitive for some, Durham NLG members are volunteering space in their homes where convention attendees to stay at no cost.
To request alternative housing or to volunteer extra space in your home, please fill out the online forms below or at bit.ly/HousingRequests2019 or bit.ly/HousingOffers2019. NOTE: While we do our best to fulfill all alternative housing requests, we cannot guarantee alternative housing to everyone.
Are you an NLG member in the Durham area and have extra space in your home to offer a fellow convention attendee? Please fill out the form below or at bit.ly. Many, many thanks!
